B - Eligibility & Admission Criteria

What level of physical independence is needed to reside at PC? Or impact to eligibility to continue staying at PC if a resident has a medical event and becomes dependent on others for self care

Normal physical independence is ideal but not paramount when admitting in to Parijnan Chaya. However, If the resident is dependent or becomes dependent after admission, we will provide them with an attendant at extra charges.

We have a tie up with Dr. Bade’s Nulife Hospital for Geriatrics, ten minutes away from Parijnan Chaya located at Kamshet. They have Physicians, Psychiatrists, Counsellors and Therapists who can deliver care onsite in the home.

C - Facilities and General Services

Do single rooms have internet, (landline) phone & TV connections – included or additional charge? How is WiFi connectivity/quality?

There is Wifi provided in common area inside and outside the library. Residents can have their own wireless Wifi dongles.

Can a single room resident have a camera installed in their room for their close family to access/monitor?

Yes if a family insists.  Also, we have covered all common places with cctv

Each room will have a fan. Ac to be installed by family. Will have to pay Electricity charges extra as needed.

Yes and the facility is covered by surveillance cameras.

Yes, at an additional charge.

Kitchen store. Residents are provided with toiletries and incase they want any specific brand, the same will be provided at an extra cost.

What is the ratio of staff present to attend to the residents everyday does it vary with day and night shifts?

Yes it is variable. But it will be as per requirement. Average 1(Staff): 3(Residents).

Besides doctor and nurse visiting Parijnan Chaya once every week, will PC be able to provide Physicians, Specialists, Counselors and Psychiatrists for residents in need of their help?

Yes, medicines and investigation charges to be paid by residents.

What are the expectations and assistance if any provided to elders with respect to managing their cash/banking/finances?

Incase residents are not familiar with net banking then they can open an account with HDFC Bank, which is close by. The Manager has agreed to make home service available including cash delivery.

Could you describe the expected daily routine? Is there a structure to the day to day life to keep folks engaged and occupied?

  • Morning Tea ( 6.30 AM to 7.30 AM )
  • Breakfast ( 8 AM to 9 AM)
  • Lunch ( 1 PM to 2 PM )
  • Evening Tea ( 4.30 PM to 5.30 PM ) 
  • Dinner ( 8 PM to 9 PM )
  • Reading Room / Internet Cafe ( 7 AM to 9 PM) 
  • Addition to this there will be yoga session once a day
  • There is a walking track and space for indoor board games
  • Various genres of music is played through the public address system with speaker setup in each room which can be operated by residents

E - COVID Specific

What COVID protocol will be in place at the facility?

All government protocols are in place at Parijnan Chaya.

Do residents and staff need to be vaccinated before moving in / before being employed at the facility?

All need to provide vaccination certificate issued by Government of India.

Will there be provisions to get them vaccinated at PC

Arrangements will be made as and when their turns come depending on government protocols and facilities made available by the Gram Panchayat. 

F - Food / Cooking

Can an individual cook?

Cooking not allowed in the rooms. But anyone is welcome to suggest the menu and help in the kitchen.

Can one get non-veg?

Parijnan Chaya kitchen will serve only veg food, but in case anyone is interested in having non-veg food, it will be cooked elsewhere and provided.
