Activities at Parijnan Chaya
Adhering to PM Modi’s Swatcchata Abhiyan. A team of professional gardeners from Mumbai were hired by PC to beautify the entrance gate to Parijnan Chaya

Our seniors were taken for the annual outing to Manashakti Mind Gym. Shri Jeetendra Gokarn very graciously sponsored the outing
to Lonavala on 4th February 2026. Residents were taught to play mind games which in turn helped them to focus and concentrate guiding them to meditate.
Practice will make perfect.

The stronger the concentration the higher the ball remains. The moment the concentration is lost the ball falls down.
We celebrated 26th Jan 2026 by singing patriotic songs and distributing tricoloured pedas. The flag was unfurled by Smt. Premla and Shri Suresh Kabadkar.
New year was welcomed in a very relaxing way. Spa Treatment sponsored by Shri Shivanand Mankekar was organised on 17th Jan 2026

New Years’ Eve was celebrated by burning the Old Man and welcoming the New Year with sweets sponsored by Smt. Aditi and Shri. Shirish Divgi on 31st Dec.

4th December – Dutta Jayanti was celebrated with Smt. Laxmi and Shri Prakash Shirur were Yajman and the couple honoured was
Satya Dutta Vrat. Smt. Preeta and Shri. Ramkishore Mankikar.

On 28th November children from Dahivali Zila Parishad school visited out seniors.

27th November 2025 – Enjoying a crisp sunny morning during a cold winter day, waiting for the doctor’s check-up

About forty members of Shri Satya Sai Sevaks brought the akhanda diya ‘Divya Jyoti’ from Mumbai and were welcomed by our seniors to celebrate the Centenary year of Shri Satya Sai Baba on 25th November.

The Rashtravadi Party, Youth group – Dahivali Village, along with Shri Ganesh Mavkar and Sarpanch Smt Varsha Mavkar, visited PC and donated blankets and sweets on 22nd Oct during Diwali.

Diwali celebrations – 14th Oct
Parijnanashram School, Karla visited to celebrate Diwali with our seniors, gifting the seniors with hand-made cards and akash kandils. The children played games with the seniors bringing smiles and lightning up their faces on this festive occasion.

Diwali Celebrations continued with bhel, ragda pattis, sev puri and pani puri party in the evening, organised and sponsored by Shri Ajay Nadkarni.

Kojagiri Purnima – 6th Oct Was celebrated by watching a movie The seniors were served bhel for dinner and had masala milk under

August and come September, the seniors at PC were happy to have visits from They shared some insights about nutrition and counselled
students of the Counselling and Nutrition dept. from Pimpri Chinchwad Univ. the seniors through games and activities.
Talegaon. Once again organised by our volunteer Mr Chaitanya Kalyanpur.
Mr Chaitanya Kalynapur’s students of Management from IFEEL, Karla, worked for
a day, the wages of which they graciously spend on buying groceries and fruits etc. They showcased their talent for the residents and spent time with them.

On 10th July Gurupurnima we started by performing Paduka Pujan On this occasion the Chairman of the Trust planted a Rudraksha tree
and felicitation of MSEDCL officers by the Chairman Dr Uday Andar. in the PC garden.

HH Shrimad Parijnanashram Swamiji’s birthday – 15th June
Celebrations began one day prior with chatt party on the eve of 14th June. Followed by light music and Bollywood songs by a group called Amchi Rung Manch organised by Smt Deepa Kambatkone Rao.
Dr Uday felicitated the artists.
After some festivities come some DIY activites.

Painting of earthen pots was a fun activity for our seniors. The most popular indoor game, carrom is played my many of our residents
Enhancing creativity into wall decors.
Hanuman Janmotsav is celebrated every year with Paduka Pujan, Homa (Havan), and Palki Utsav. HH Parijnanashram Swamiji’s Padukas are taken to the homes in the complex where arti is offered to Padukas. Devotees are served panak panvaar (fruits) once the Padukas are brought back to PC after the utsav.

Holi on 13th March was celebrated with Holika dahan. Welcoming warmer days. Sweaters are off.

Fitness is the secret to a happy life. Thanks to Mr Chaitanya Kalyanpur, one of our volunteers, – Ms Pratha and Ms Rajashree from ” Graceful Living” spoke to our residents on 11th March 2025, regarding the health challenges they face.

Shishya Sweekar Diwas is a day we celebrate every year, as it is the day when our beloved 10th Guru – HH Shrimad Parijnanashram Swamiji III was given Deeksha by His Guru ( our 9th Guru) HH Shrimad Anandashram Swamiji.

Picnic at MANASI BUNGALOW, Lonavala on 10th Oct’24
Finally the prolonged monsoons have passed by and now time for some outdoor enjoyment. After celebrating a quiet, safe and an environment friendly Diwali, everyone craved for some adventure in the hills. We found this beautiful place called the Manasi Bungalow, in Valvan, Lonavala, which is senior citizen friendly. Very serene, with cool shady green gardens, on the banks of Indrayani river. huge spacious rooms for elders to relax too. Breakfast and lunch were something that they loved. Charvi and Diya organised art therapy where ajjis and ajobas dabbled with paint. Arya’s The Beauty Studio organised the wellness program which everyone enjoyed the most. Last but not the least our host Manasvi Bhatia was most attentive and gracious to give such royal treatment to our elders making it one of the most memorable outings. DY Patil Students’ visit to PC on 30th July’24
A bunch of self-motivated mechanical engineering students from DY Patil college, Pimpri, came to visit and interact with our super seniors. It was a heartwarming experience to see them chatting so lovingly with ajjis and ajobas, as if they have known them since a long time. They missed their own grandparents back home, so it was a beautiful sight to see them enjoying each other’s company.

15th August 2024
We at Parijnan Chaya celebrated Independence Day with Flag hoisting through the hands of our senior most residents, Mrs Shanta Murlidhar Shaligram. After singing the National Anthem, tricolour pedas were distributed.

Dattajayanti 2023
Dattajayanti was celebrated with grand fervor at PC on 26th December. Manohar bhatmam and Dr Uday Andar along with Deepa did the Satyadatta pooja and Paduka Poojan which was well attended by residents, devotees and villagers. Shri Shyam Gaikwad, Shri Bhau Mavkar, Shri Shantaram Mavkar, Shri Duryodhan Pawar and Shri Clayton Sherwood were felicitated by Dr Uday Andar, for their continuous help to Parivar in running PC.










Musical Evening
23rd December 2023
Anupama Nayak Kamath, Rajveer, Vasudha, and group came to spend a melodious evening with our seniors at PC. Nagesh Nayak had organised the evening. Deepa Kambatkone, Chaitanya Kalyanpur and Ararti Gupta also joined the musical group and performed.

Carol Singing
19th December 2023
Parish Members of St Josheps Church of Lonavala came and sang carols on 19th December for the residents of PC. All had a lovely evening singing and dancing with them. After a brief party with snacks and tea coffee they all left PC as the residents basked in Christmas Cheer.

Picnic at Serenity Resort
30Th November 2023
We took our seniors out for a day out to Serenity Resort at Tungarli, near Lonavala by bus. The owner Ms Ratnamala Dhurandhar, who graciously received us all along with her very efficient and helpful staff. She had arranged a grand breakfast after which we walked around the property and rested a while.
Refreshed we took our seniors to Narayani Dham, a beautiful temple of Goddess Narayani. Once we were at the resort again we were given a brief talk about the history of the resort by Ms Dhurandhar. We enjoyed a wonderful meal served to us all with much love.
We soon said our goodbyes and thankyous before returning to Parijnan Chaya for some much needed rest. Everyone had a lovely time.











Parijnan Ashram Swamiji’s Birthday
15th June 2023
We had arranged an awareness camp at Parijnan Chaya on 15th June in honour of H H Parijnanashram Swamijis birthday. The camp was organised by Parijnan Parivar in tandem with an NGO – Mohan Foundation, that promotes Organ Donation. They were assisted by Student Nurses from ITM institute Panvel by enhancing the awareness program by performing street plays. The sessions were well attended by the residents, guests of PC and local villagers.
